Hey,

It's been a long time, and I'm sorry that I've not been around as much as I'd love to have been - life is quite different now, and my first year of university is three weeks short of completion. Exams are coming up in a fortnight, and there's a hell of a lot to study between now and then.

Life is good, I've made many new friends, and some really close ones - I guess these are some of the people I'll really know for the rest of my life. The college I'm at is like heaven for me, old stone and clean lawns - an overgrown patch which bloomed with colour during spring - there's a duck which recently gave everyone a surprise with twelve oh-so-cute balls of fluff (albeit without water - our JCR is on that one) - it's a bubble; the walls separate us from the humdrum of the outside world. The outside world isn't such a bad thing though, there's always so much going on here in Oxford, protests, dancing, music, preachers - markets; there's the Union, so many clubs and societies, music nights, concerts, churches to suit anybody's tastes. The architecture is a really eclectic mix of the castle-like colleges of the oldest university in the English speaking world - and the glass fronted cutting edge research labs of the 21st century. Conversation is seldom dull, and life, friends, food, sleep and work are all going sweetly.

I hope that life is treating all of you well, I check here periodically, and keep you in my thoughts.

Finally, I've learnt a lot over my short life. I'm privileged to have experienced so much wonder across such a spectrum of lives. Thank you to everybody.
